  2. programs (like SID on wb12).

  9. This disk contains public domain software collected and
  10. cataloged by DevWare Inc.  Our library is composed of three
  11. different series, Our "DevDisk" series contains tools and
  12. information for the Amiga software developer and
  13. power user (often source code is provided), our "WorkBench"
  14. series is  designed to be of generally interest to all
  15. people, these programs can generally be used from the
  16. WorkBench, our "FunDisk" series is made up of fun and games
  17. programs.

  19. In many cases individual disk in a series are cataloged 
  20. by theme (fonts, utilities, pacman look alike games...).  
  21. We try till fill each disk to capacity with as many high 
  22. quality programs as are available.  As a company we at 
  23. DevWare are dedicated to providing you, the consumer, with 
  24. quality programs and examples, not quantity; therefore 
  25. our library doesn't have 100's of disks but only a few 
  26. disks packed with high quality programs.

  28. We would like to offer you a caution, as a consumer of public
  29. domain programs several firms exist out there that 
  30. provide only one or two programs per disk and charge full 
  31. price.  There are several firms that produce good high 
  32. quality public domain libraries and also fill their disks full with 
  33. programs.  We suggest that you support these firms.

  36. We have made it easy to tell which series is which; the first 
  37. two letter of disk represent the series, DD# is the 
  38. "DevDisk" series, WB# is the "WorkBench" series, and FD# is 
  39. the "FunDisk" series.

  41. Note:    Most of the files on our "DevDisk" series do not have
  42. icons.  If you are not familiar with the CLI, you will have
  43. difficulty getting at the files from this series.  If you
  44. have not learned CLI yet there is much published information
  45. available to help you learn (it's really not that hard). In
  46. addition to the books published on AmigaDOS and the CLI,
  47. there are numerous articles in magazines like Info,
  48. Antic Amiga Plus or Compute! Amiga Resource.

  50.     Please be aware that our library is generally not on a
  51. bootable Workbench disk--you will need to boot off of your
  52. own Workbench to use the programs on this disk.  We have
  53. done this so that we can pack as much useful stuff on each
  54. disk as possible.

  57. library, DevWare Inc. also produces the DevWare line of
